Air Source Heat Pump
...
One system for heating, cooling and hot water
- Panel air conditioners: Ideal for compact spaces requiring precise temperature control.
Air Source Heat Pumps:
-
Provide up to three times more heat energy than the electrical energy they use
-
Reduce heating and cooling costs by 40%, relative to traditional AC units and furnaces
-
Offer better dehumidification relative to traditional AC units, further lowering costs and increasing comfort
-
Are easy to maintain and have a long, 20-year estimated operational life due to their high energy efficiency
In addition, the inclusion of EC intelligent radial fans and hot-swappable cooling fans ensures superior performance and reliability. These features further enhance the efficiency and maintenance ease of the Air Source Heat Pumps, making them a smart choice for any HVAC system.
How they work?
To transfer heat as efficiently as they do, CoolAer’s air source heat pumps use a state-of-the-art system that cycles refrigerant through a vapor compression cycle involving high efficiency compressors, heat exchangers, and condensers.
Environmentally friendly refrigerant is passed between two heat exchangers – one outside, and one inside. The compressor and condenser are used to change the state of the refrigerant from a gas to a liquid and back.
To heat a zone – either a house, office or warehousing space, or nearly anything else – the refrigerant is passed outside where it boils in the heat exchanger. This traps outdoor heat in the refrigerant, which is passed through the closed, circulating loop to the interior heat exchanger, where the gas is condensed to its liquid state. This effectively transfers the heat stored from outdoors to the interior.
In summer months, the cycle is reversed. Warmth is pulled from the indoor air and transferred to the outdoors, effectively cooling a house or other zone. As heat is transferred from the indoor air to the refrigerant, condensation also occurs, which – once the condensation is collected and pumped away – dehumidifies the indoor air.
Cold Climate Heating
Air Source Heat Pumps can be designed to work in temperature as low -24°C). However, as the temperature drops much below 5°C, the system has to work harder to trap the ambient heat in the air, and the coefficient of performance drops to the point that other heat sources become more competitive in terms of efficiencies and operating costs.
